What does holiday support look like to your customers?
Most business owners think first to gifts and products for your customers to buy for their family and friends for Christmas. But that isn’t necessarily what they need from you.
Every business and personal brand can provide some kind of seasonal support to their audience. Your audience has a seasonal struggle that you are able to solve or assist with, that is not gifts.
Around Q2 or 3, small business owners start thinking about what they can do for their holiday promotion. Should they create a new product? Rename something to fit the season? Discount a service and call it a holiday sale?
Before you launch your Santa themed coaching sessions, or turkey flavored coffee special, stop for a minute and put yourself in your customer’s shoes.
What does your customer NEED from you right now?
- Are they too busy to meal prep?
- Struggling to get out the door due to SAD?
- Too overwhelmed with to-do’s to enjoy the season?
- Need certain exercises for winter months?
Brainstorm a list of 5-10 struggles that your ideal client has during the months of November through January. (Not sure who your ideal client is? Let’s chat about it.)
What can you offer your client to help support them through these struggles during the holiday season?
The holidays is a great time to be there for your audience- to help make their lives easier and more enjoyable. Think outside the box about what information, experience, or help you can provide. Be their holiday superhero!
Your holiday promotion does not need to be a product or a sale.
If you haven’t started planning your holiday promotion or offer, now is the time. It is an easy thing to put off and then throw something together when you start seeing the Target Black Friday ads. That is not what your customers deserve, and it will not get you where you need to be.
What if you could get your promotion strategically planned and the coordinating social media posts planned out in about an hour? The Holiday Posts & Promos Online Workshop is October 14th, 2019.
